Promising News Regarding The Continuation Of Heroclix?

Here’s a post from Justin (Ziran) over at HCRealms (emphasis mine):

(posted on 6/29/09 @ 06.23):

“Hey guys,

Just wanted to clear a few things up. The next release is not the last release for HeroClix. UDE (Upper Deck) does not have license to produce HeroClix, the engine is owned by Topps and will transfer to the new buyer. HoT is not the last Marvel release.

I can’t comment on the UDE deal b/c I don’t know anything specific beyond what has been said.

As soon as management is ready to talk about the long term aspects of the line you’ll be among the first to know about it. From what I’ve seen, you have nothing to worry about. In fact, I suspect most of you will be pretty happy.

Until then, keep the faith and don’t let rumor and assumptions in comments spin their way into facts.

-Justin”

Comments and updates like these keep me optomistic.

  1. As much as I want to believe him, it seems like we’ve been hearing the same line for months.

  2. From what I understand, this guy was a part of WizKids and really has something to do with the new deals, so I’m hoping he really knows what he’s talking about.

Oh and btw, thanks for switching up the banner pic. I was thinking it was time for that to be changed!

  3. Mmmmm…now I want Oreos.

  4. It sounds credible, and I really want to believe it all, but I have to prepare myself for the worst possible outcome to avoid having to jump off any bridges later when it comes out that they’re shutting down the whole thing and coming by everyone’s house and melting down all remainin Clix to make Tupper-ware.

  5. Dude, that would not be cool. My clix will NOT suffer the fate of becoming tupperware. They’ll have to pry them from my cold, dead, kung-fu grip!

  6. I just wish you could still access the figure stats on Wizkidsgames.com. It was a great resource.
